The Master of Arts in Education program is designed to provide advanced training in educational theory, research, and practice, preparing educators for leadership and innovation in education.
In the first semester, students will learn about research methodology and how to incorporate technology to enhance their learning experience, drawing on the works of prominent philosophers, including Aristotle, Plato, and John Dewey, to understand how education is integral to society. The semester modules also cover learning theories, individual differences, research design, and relevant data-collection tools.
In the second semester, students will learn about the sociological perspective on educational institutions, social change, and equality, as well as the impact of caste, class, and gender. The subject topics also cover advanced learning theories, cognitive development, emotional intelligence, and guidance and counseling to measure educational assessment. Statistical software to learn about statistical methods to define performance, contemporary issues in teaching, curriculum planning, and educational leadership and supervision, teaching methods and approaches, curriculum and material development, and teaching practices.
In the third semester, students will learn about leadership theories and styles, decision-making, human resource management, educational policies, and governance. educational technology concept, multimedia learning, digital classrooms, instructional materials.
In the fourth and final semester, students will gain in-depth knowledge of assessment techniques, validity, grading systems, score interpretation, the Individualized Education Program (IEP), and policies and legislation related to special education. computer education covering fundamentals, operating systems, digital communication, educational software, cybersafety and digital ethics, practical ICT skills, and yoga education, with a requirement to submit a dissertation.
